Case & Task

Porsche initiated the replacement of the email-style inbox in the My Porsche App with a centralized Notification Center to modernize communication and improve the overall user experience. My role covered the definition of the concept, interaction model, and structural framework, ensuring the new system could replace long-form messages with short, clear, and actionable in-app notifications.

The work included aligning the Notification Center with the existing system landscape and guiding internal teams through the transition from email-based communication to a scalable, structured notification approach, establishing a consistent foundation for future in-app communication.

A single universal notification card was designed as the foundation of the system, enabling a scalable and consistent approach to in-app communication across the My Porsche experience.

Instead of designing separate layouts for each use case, this flexible component adapts to multiple content variations — including service updates, bookings, shop activities, and vehicle alerts. This reduces design and development complexity, ensures visual consistency, and allows teams to create new notification types efficiently, while maintaining a simple and predictable interaction model for users.
