Case

Development of an additional logo concept for the Deutsche Filmakademie during an internship at the Berlin-based design agency e27, created under intense time constraints for an executive board presentation.

Within the span of one hour, a spontaneous concept sketch was developed and presented alongside other proposals. The idea was selected and went on to become the official logo of the Deutsche Filmakademie, representing the institution from its founding in 2003 until 2017.

The visual concept draws inspiration from the classic cinema curtain that opens just before a film begins.

This symbolic moment of anticipation and transition reflects the essence of storytelling and cinematic experience. The logo represents a gateway into the world of film, combining tradition with creative expression and highlighting the academy’s role in educating and shaping future generations of filmmakers.
