Case
Aulendorf Castle in Baden-Württemberg has a history spanning over 800 years and showcases architectural styles ranging from the Middle Ages to Classicism. Originally built as a fortress, it was transformed in the 18th century into a baroque residence for the noble family of Königsegg. Today, it serves as a cultural center, housing a museum, parts of the city administration, and changing exhibitions.
Task
The commissioned illustration series was part of an image campaign. The goal was to find a humorous approach that would appeal to both younger and older audiences. This led to the creation of the Bad Duke series, in which a distinguished yet funny fictional former castle owner humorously illustrates life in the castle.
